Wednesday, July 22. The front and back seats, convertible boot and the center console are installed. Thanks to Jim Jacobs for installing the leather seat covers.

The kick panels and Kicker speakers are in place. The kick panels are custom made by MP Products. A jack for an Ipod/MP3 was run under the carpet and into the console. The radio has Ipod capabilities and a power antenna connection. A coxial cable was run from the radio to the rear deck for the addition of a power antenna that has been mounted on the rear quarter panel.

Friday, July 24. Off to the muffler shop where we installed a pair of Flowmaster Delta 40 series mufflers and a custom built exhaust system.
The new Flowmaster Delta 40's are laying on the lift waiting to be installed.

The first exhaust pipe is welded into place.

Then the first muffler is welded into place.

Then the last tailpipe and chrome extension.

Sunday, July 26, Eddie Siler is hanging the doors.

The door glass is installed and then Robert Owens installs the passenger side door panel.

On Monday and Tuesday, July 27 and 28, Eddie Siler installed the remainder of the body panels.

The car is now ready for the front bumper, rocker mouldings, grill, emblems and other finishing touches.

July 31, 2009. The grill, front bumper, headlights and bumper guards are now in place. The headlights and fog lamps have been wired and are working. Paul Scott (left) and Jerry Christopherson put finishing touches on the engine compartment. Since completion of the paint and body work on June 30, the car was substantially assembled in 30 days.

One of the finishing touches is a plaque that commemerates the occasion and recongizes the team that built the car. It was mounted on top of the radiator.
